Elmhurst Residents Charged With Domestic Battery

In another case, a man is accused of harassing a woman in Elmhurst, police said.

A 45-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 200 block of North West Avenue was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Thursday at her house on charges of domestic battery, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and criminal property damage, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery and electronic harassment. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 45-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 200 block of North West Avenue was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Thursday at her house on charges of domestic battery, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and criminal property damage. Police said the woman hit a man and damaged his phone. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. The next day, a 38-year-old man who lives at the same address was arrested on a warrant. He was released.
  • A 23-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 100 block of North Larch Street was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on charges of domestic battery (two counts), aggravated assault and criminal property damage. Police said the man threw a woman to the ground, broke her phone and threatened her. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 29-year-old Bloomingdale man was arrested Saturday on charges of harassment through electronic communications, electronic harassment with an obscene message and disorderly conduct. Police said a woman in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue reported the harassment. The man was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
