Elmhurst Spot To Be Pizzeria Again

ELMHURST, IL – A pizzeria plans to open in the Elmhurst spot where such restaurants used to be.

Quad Edge Pizza is set for 570 S. York St., next to 7-Eleven and near Vallette Street, according to city records.

The space was most recently the home of Flavah, a catering business. In the years before that, it housed Francesco's Italian Pizza Kitchen and Lucia's Pizzeria.

Patch left a message on Quad Edge's Facebook page, asking when the restaurant would open.

The business responded, "Our opening date is still unknown at the moment, but we're hoping to be up and running by the end of the year."

On the Facebook page, Quad Edge describes its offerings as "Detroit-style square pan pizza" with "thick, cheesy and caramelized edges baked to perfection."
