Elmhurst Woman Nearly Hit By Train While Drunk: Cops

She was accused of endangering a child's life, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases of a woman nearly hit by a train, domestic battery, explicit photos and a restaurant mess. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Near miss on tracks

  • A 25-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 100 block of South Linden Avenue was arrested about 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Street and Haven Road on charges of DUI, endangering the life or health of a child, and stopping or standing where prohibited. Police were told about a disabled car on the railroad tracks that had narrowly missed being struck by a train. The woman was taken to the police station and then released.

Domestic battery

  • A 39-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 400 block of East Butterfield Road was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Monday at her home on a domestic battery charge. Police said she pushed another person. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Explicit photos

  • A resident in the 300 block of South West Avenue told police Monday that someone had been making fake media profiles and posting explicit photos of the resident. This has been occurring since late November.

  • Chipotle, 139 N. York St., told police that two suspects had entered the restaurant's restroom and defecated on the floor about 6 p.m. Monday.
