York Football Postponed Until Saturday, Thanks to Lightning

York's first football game of the season has been postponed until Saturday, Aug. 31, thanks to some rain and a lot of lightning Friday night. But you can still catch the game via live-stream video right here, courtesy of High School cube. Kick off is at noon.
Our York Dukes have been working hard all summer getting ready, building not just brawn and agility, but confidence.
The Dukes are coming off of a winless season. A lot of adjectives come to mind when describing the Dukes' 2012 season. Let's just call it … disappointing.

But that's what fresh starts are all about. York opens the season at home in a non-conference game against Clark High School (Chicago). Clark finished 2-6 last year.

Looking ahead, the Dukes' big West Suburban Silver Conference opener will be at home Sept. 13 against Hinsdale Central High School.
