Letter: Former Elmhurst City Clerk Backs Mark Mulliner for Mayor

Mulliner has the knowledge and professionalism to fulfill the duties of mayor.

I would like to encourage the voters of Elmhurst to vote for Mark Mulliner for Mayor of the City of Elmhurst on April 9.

I have known Mark for a number of years in the capacity of friend, 7th Ward alderman (the ward I live in) and most importantly, as a fellow council member when I served as City Clerk. I have observed the workings of the City Council from the inside and I know that the office of mayor is one that Mark Mulliner can navigate with the knowledge he has gleaned from his 14-plus years on the council. I have personally seen him work with the residents of the 7th Ward on many issues, including the flooding problems and the electrical outages that we have endured for several years. With his dogged determination, the city of Elmhurst is seeing major improvements in these areas.

While on the City Council, I had the privilege of working with a number of council members, and I can say without hesitation that Mark Mulliner will perform the duties of mayor of Elmhurst with knowledge, professionalism and a caring attitude that is so important in dealing with today’s concerns.
