Man Killed by Freight Train Thursday Morning
The man's body was found near the Wheaton College campus early on Thursday morning.

An eastbound freight train on the Union Pacific West Line struck and killed a 37-year-old man in Wheaton on Thursday morning. His body was found a mile away from where he was hit, the Chicago Tribune reports.
According to the paper, the incident occurred at around 7:45 a.m. near North Hale Street—where there is no railroad crossing—and the man’s body was found soon after between Chase and President streets, next to the Wheaton College campus and McCully Stadium.
The tracks were closed for an hour for an investigation. They have since reopened but were still running about 15 minutes behind schedule as of 11:30 a.m., according to Metra.
