Man Threatens To Kill Elmhurst Resident: Cops
The suspect was apprehended in Gary, where he was taken to jail, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving felony threats to kill, burglary, theft and disturbances. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Threats to kill
- Aly Ben Abdeltif, 35, of Augusta, Georgia, was arrested Saturday on felony charges of phone harassment by threatening to kill and electronic harassment making a threat to kill. The victim is an Elmhurst resident. The suspect was found in Gary, Indiana, and was taken to the county jail there.
Burglary

- Edward J. May, 42, of Villa Park, was arrested about 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of burglary, retail theft (two counts) and possession of alcohol by a passenger. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Theft
- A person was seen on camera entering offices and removing a baseball hat before leaving about 9:30 p.m. Friday at Ed Napleton Acura, 745 W. Lake St. The incident was reported five days later.
Disturbances

- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of North Berteau Avenue. A woman said her boyfriend was drunk and argumentative. They agreed to separate for the night.
- Police responded to a disturbance about 10 p.m. Monday at Jewel, 944 S. York St. The store asked for a person to be given a no-trespass notice, which the police did.
- Police responded to a disturbance about 5 p.m. Friday at Armand's Pizzeria, 105 W. First St. The business wanted a person to be given a no-trespass notice, but the person could not be found.
