Metra Alerts Restored to Commuters
Alerts that were not reaching customers since July 13 are not functioning properly, Metra reports.

Chicago, IL — The glitch that kept Metra service alerts from reaching customers has been resolved, and real-time messages are again being delivered successfully.
The glitch, which began the afternoon of July 13, affected about 100,000 Metra customers who are signed up for service alerts via email and Twitter, according to Metra.
“While it took longer than we wanted to resolve this glitch, we can now report that the Metra alert system is back online and fully functioning.” said Metra Executive Director/CEO Don Orseno in a message to customers. “We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced as a result of this problem.”
