New Firefighter, Two Police Officers Hired in Elmhurst

Elmhurst, IlL — The City of Elmhurst is pleased to announce the hiring of a new firefighter and two new police officers.

The officers were selected under the City of Elmhurst Board of Fire & Police Commissioners thorough examination and interview processes.

During a swearing-in ceremony on June 28, Mayor Steve Morley welcomed firefighter Patrick Evoy and police officers Rebecka Anderson and Justin Lauria to the City of Elmhurst and thanked them for their pledge to protect the community.

The new firefighter hire fills a recent retirement and allows each shift to work at full strength. With the fulfillment of these positions, the City’s public safety forces continue to be strong while providing superior safety and emergency services. Quality and cost conscious public safety operations remain top priorities to City leaders.
