North Elmhurst Businesses Join Forces

An association has been formed to promote businesses in the area.

ELMHURST, IL – North Elmhurst businesses are following the footsteps of their counterparts in other areas of town – forming an association.

Recently, the Lake York Business Association was created with the stated mission of promoting businesses in north Elmhurst through events, networking and other opportunities. It is focused on the area of Lake and York streets, north of North Avenue.

The group said it is looking for all types of businesses, nonprofits and churches to take part.

The city sent the group's announcement to its email list Thursday.

The association's board consists of Abbey Cannon of Aunt Tina's Kitchen, Anthony Renelli of Inboxx, and Jack Pysz and Brenda Jaeger of Redco Realty.

The first meeting is set for Dec. 10.
