Principal From Elmhurst Kept Driving For School, Despite Arrest
He logged thousands of miles and received no discipline for his DUI arrest.

ELMHURST, IL – The Bolingbrook High School principal's job was unaffected after his Elmhurst arrest for drunken driving on a school night in December, according to public records.
Through a records request, Patch discovered that Principal Jason Pascavage received no discipline in connection with his arrest.
In his job, Pascavage, who lives in an unincorporated neighborhood south of Elmhurst, has no car allowance or an assigned job-related car. But he gets mileage.

According to school records, Pascavage logged 3,899 miles for the school last semester, bringing him more than $2,700 in mileage reimbursements.
His first trip for the school was Jan. 10 to a boys basketball game in Chicago. It was 3½ weeks after his arrest.

Most of his trips were to high school games, but some were for meetings.
During his arrest, Pascavage identified himself as a high school principal. At the police station, he argued with officers and refused to leave the booking area, acting belligerently, police said.
Last month, a video of Pascavage's arrest was posted to YouTube, drawing 143,000 views as of Tuesday.
During his encounter with Elmhurst officers, Pascavage repeatedly asked them to "please help me." He changed his story about whether he had been drinking.
