Roadwork at St. Charles Road, Poplar Avenue on Wednesday
Some turns will not be allowed for the day.

Roadwork will take place at the middle of the intersection of St. Charles Road and Poplar Avenue on Nov. 11.
The contracted work is part of the 2015 Waterman Valve & Fire Hydrant Replacement Project and requires the removal and replacement of a 12” water main valve on the City’s potable water distribution system.

Special traffic control will be set up on Nov. 11 at 6:30 a.m. and construction work will begin at 7 a.m.
Turning left going northbound on Poplar Ave. to westbound St. Charles Rd., as well as turning left going eastbound on St. Charles Road to northbound Poplar will not be allowed for the day.

Once the construction work is completed, a special strength, quick curing concrete will be poured and plated as part of the pavement restoration. Through traffic will be allowed by the end of the day Wednesday and the crew will return late in the day Thursday to remove the plate. Please refer to the attached map for more details.
