Robbery Suspect Flees Oak Brook Cop In High-Speed Chase: Police
A Chicago police helicopter tracked the man to an apartment building in the city, prosecutors said.

OAK BROOK, IL – A Chicago man who was driving a car that police believed was used in a robbery sped away from an Oak Brook officer Tuesday, authorities said.
Dwaun Blalock, 19, was arrested on two counts of felony aggravated fleeing and eluding, police said.
Shortly before noon, the Oak Brook officer activated his emergency lights to stop Blalock near westbound Interstate 88 and Midwest Road, according to a news release from DuPage County prosecutors.

Instead of stopping, Blalock, who was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu, reached speeds of 115 mph on I-88, weaving between cars before exiting at Highland Avenue, police said. He then re-entered the expressway, but the officer ended the chase out of safety concerns.
Blalock fled from officers in other towns, while he was tracked by a Chicago police helicopter to an apartment building on 113th Street in the city, prosecutors said.

He entered the building, where officers found Blalock in a bathroom after the unit's occupant consented to a search, police said. Blalock was arrested.
A DuPage County judge ordered Blalock to stay in the DuPage County Jail until his trial.
