Roxy the Wonderdog is Home!
The shy cockapoo made it home even after two weeks, torrential downpours and temperature extremes.

After nearly two weeks on her own, amidst flood and traffic and dark of night, Roxy the beloved cockapoo has found her way back to her Elmhurst home.
After she disappeared April 13 from the area of York and St. Charles Road, Roxy's "parents," Tom and Marta Davy, plastered the neighborhood with fliers. Elmhurst Patch posted Roxy's photo April 16 and the article was recommended on Facebook 30 times, but still no Roxy.
On April 17 and 18, the shy little dog had to negotiate arguably the worst rain and flooding Elmhurst has seen—and then came the snow.
Clues were coming in. On April 24, Marta said a dog that looked like Roxy recently had been spotted on eastbound Interstate 290 at Mannheim Road, of all places, but nothing panned out.
Then finally, the good news.
"Roxy is home!" Marta said by email on Friday.
Thanks to all the online activity and neighborhood fliers, someone spotted her four blocks from home, she said.
"She is dirty and skinny, but otherwise healthy," she said. "We are so happy and thankful to everyone who helped us find her."
