A woman received a call from a man who claimed he could get her grandson out of jail if she sent him $4,000 in iTunes gift cards.The woman followed instructions around Oct. 23 to send the gift cards, and the scammer asked for $6,000 more to get the charges reduced, according to Elmhurst police.A cashier at Jewel Osco stopped the woman from buying the additional cards and told her it was a scam.
