Schweisthals Enjoying Some Peace and Quiet at Home After Weekend Ordeal
They received communion at home Monday, since they missed Sunday Mass, and were interviewed by ABC 7 news.

Vernon and Elaine Schweisthal are enjoying some quiet moments these days, upon returning home from an ordeal last weekend that had people all over Illinois looking for them.
A trip to Mount Prospect to meet friends for lunch on Friday morning turned into a two-day, two-night ordeal when they found themselves stranded in Bureau County, more than 100 miles away. Since their return on Sunday, they have been interviewed on ABC 7 News and are catching up on some much-needed rest.

Vern and Elaine's family extend their thanks to all who helped in the search, and they continue to update Elmhurst's many concerned residents on their progress. According to a Facebook post from the family on Monday:
"Had much thanks to give to The Lord! Deacon Tony [Spatafore] from Visitation came and brought communion since they missed Sunday Mass."
