Squirrel Shooter Cited for City Ordinance Violation

Police asked the Elmhurst man to immediately stop shooting squirrels.

Elmhurst, IL - Elmhurst police received a public complaint that someone was shooting squirrels with a pellet gun.

A 77-year-old man told police March 27 that he shot and killed two squirrels that day in his yard in the 600 block of Rex Boulevard, according to Elmhurst police.

Police asked the man to immediately stop shooting squirrels, and he was cited for the city ordinance violation and released on the scene.
