State Rep. Deuter Launches New Speaker Series
The first program will focus on regional transit in the face of fiscal cliff.
WESTMONT, IL – State Representative Marti Deuter, an Elmhurst Democratic, is pleased to announce the first event in her new speaker series “What You Need to Know About PART (Plan of Action for Regional Transit),” presented by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP).
The event will be on April 15 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Rep. Deuter’s district office, located at 1 S. Cass Avenue in Westmont.
Reliable public transportation is critical to our region, serving as both a vehicle for economic growth and a solution to alleviate vehicular congestion. The April 15 presentation will provide attendees with an in-depth overview of the PART initiative, which aims to improve regional transit options and efficiency. Representatives from CMAP will lead the discussion and answer questions about the current state of regional transit, plan objectives, financial considerations and economic implications.
