Stolen Chrysler Minivan, DUI, Car Break-Ins: Elmhurst Police

The Chrysler's keys were in its ignition when it was stolen.

An Elmhurst resident who lives on the 500 block of N. Emroy Ave. reported Dec. 3 his Chrysler Town and Country Minivan was stolen while his keys were in the ignition. He said was a GPS, radar detector, various hand tools, a hydraulic floor jack and a battery jump in the car at the time.

In other traffic violations, Peter J. Bradford, 43, was arrested for drinking and driving after he crashed his Toyota around 8:45 a.m. Dec. 5.

Bradford was charged with driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident before being released on bond.

Arturo Martinez-Quintin, 49, was arrested for driving without a valid license Dec. 3 following a crash that happened as a result of his speeding.

Several more burglaries from cars were reported throughout the past week. Stolen items included loose change and cash, backpacks, laptops, and an iPhone. In most cases, cars were left unlocked overnight.
