Suspicious Item Found in O'Hare Terminal, Police Investigating

There is no evacuation of the terminal at this time, a spokesperson said.

Chicago police have cleared the unattended luggage in Terminal 3.

Everything is clear and all lanes of traffic will be opened, according to O’Hare International Airport on Twitter.

Chicago police are investigating a suspicious item on the lower level of Terminal 3 at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, according to Karen Pride, director of media relations for the Chicago Department of Aviation.

Pride said she was notified of the suspicious item around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, and there is no evacuation of the terminal at this time.

A Chicago police spokesperson said officers began investigating unattended luggage in Terminal 3 around 2:40 p.m., and normal response procedures are ongoing. He also said there is no evacuation.
