Suspicious Man Offers Boy 'a Treat' to Help Find Dog
The man drove a truck similar to a 2003 Chevy Silverado, police say.

A man in a truck pulled up to a 12-year-old boy around 5:10 p.m. Nov. 13 in the 500 block of Comstock and asked him to help find his lost dog.
The man reportedly said, “I’ll give you a treat if you do, all you need to do is get in my car,” according to Elmhurst police.
The boy told the man “No” and ran to his friend’s house, and the driver sped away.

The child described the man as in his 30s or 40s, wearing a hooded sweatshirt pulled close to his face. He had facial hair and a “C” shaped scar over his left eye, police report. He spoke with a deeper voice.
The child told police the man drove a car similar to a 2003 Chevy Silverado. The boy said the truck had rust on the Chevy logo on the tailgate, at the bottom of the tailgate and on the passenger door of the car.
