Woman Accused Of Elmhurst Home Burglary: Cops
She is believed to have stolen jewelry and cash in the May break-in, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police have arrested people on charges of burglary, retail theft and domestic battery. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:
House burglary
- Ewelina J. Blacha, 38, of Wood Dale, was arrested Tuesday on charges of burglary and theft. Police said Blacha stole a watch, earrings and cash about 5:30 p.m. May 17 from a house in the 200 block of North Maison Court. Blacha was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Retail theft

- A 20-year-old Bellwood man was arrested on charges of retail theft, possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and having an expired registration. Police said the man admitted to stealing flowers and alcohol about 4:30 p.m. Monday at Jewel, 944 S. York St. The man was released.
- A 30-year-old Streamwood man was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwill Store, 675 W. North Ave., on a retail theft charge. He was released.
Domestic battery
- A 19-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of South Sunnyside Avenue on two counts of domestic battery. Police said the man struck someone else in the head during an argument about 9 p.m. Tuesday at his house. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
