Woman Killed At Suburban Nightclub; Shot In The Face By Security Guard: Reports

In a GoFundMe to raise money for her funeral, the 21-year-old's family said she had been "caught in the middle of an altercation."

STONE PARK, IL — A 21-year-old woman was shot and killed by a security guard over the weekend at a club in Stone Park, according to reports.

Zulma Daniela Calderon Pacheco died after the guard fired a shot trying to break a fight up early Saturday morning at Mansion Live, WLS reported, adding the guard was taken into custody and released Sunday night pending additional investigation.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at the club in the 3800 block of West Lake Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, which said the woman was shot in the face and categorized the death as a homicide.

In a GoFundMe to raise money for Calderon Pacheco’s funeral, her family said she had been “caught in the middle of an altercation.”

Mansion Live was closed Saturday night in the wake of the shooting and released a statement on social media about the incident.

“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with everyone touched by this tragedy, and we are doing all we can to support local authorities as they navigate this difficult time,” the statement said.
