Woman Says Wallet Stolen At Elmhurst Store
She told police a woman stole her wallet and phone from her handbag.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving theft, a false police report, a drug investigation, domestic battery, DUI, soliciting without a license, a dog bite, a stolen car and fraud. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Theft
- A woman told police a woman stole her wallet and phone from her shoulder handbag about 4:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot at Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83. The wallet contained the victim's credit card, driver's license and $20 in cash.
False police report

- Mynor D. Ramos, 27, of Summit, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Butterfield Road and Euclid Avenue on a felony charge of disorderly conduct (false police report). Patch reported on this incident earlier this week. Police said Ramos made up a story of being robbed because he was late for work. Ramos was released.
Drug investigation
- Police started a drug investigation about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road.

- A 69-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of North Indiana Street was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at his house on two counts of domestic battery. Police said the man pushed another person during an argument. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- A 45-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 300 block of Kimbell Avenue was arrested about 11 a.m. Wednesday on Palmer Drive and Second Street on charges of DUI (drugs) and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 51-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue was arrested Monday on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving an uninsured car and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. The man crashed about 4:30 p.m. Feb. 12 on North Avenue. He was taken to Loyola Medical Center. After being discharged, he was taken to the police station and then released.
Soliciting without a license
- A Chicago man and a Willowbrook man, both 35, were cited about 5 p.m. Monday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on a charge of soliciting without a license. Police said the men were asking for money and giving candy.
Dog bite
- A woman told police that a dog bit her on the leg while she was walking about 3:30 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West First Street, which is downtown.
Stolen car
- On Tuesday, an officer helped the Storm Lake, Iowa, police with finding a stolen rental car. The car was in a parking lot in the 600 block of North York Street. The officer secured it; the owner plans to pick it up.
Fraud
- A man told police that he was approached by four men about 11:30 a.m. Monday outside Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St. They asked the man to donate to their cause. He agreed to contribute and later found two fraudulent charges on his Bank of America account. The incident was reported two days later.
Trespassing
- A person was served with a no-trespass notice at Chase Bank, 534 W. St. Charles Road, after disturbing customers.
Online relationship
- A resident in the 400 block of West Butterfield Road told police Wednesday that he was in an online relationship with a suspect, giving the person gift cards and bitcoin. He said he was the victim of fraud.
