Women Police, Women in Military to Speak at February LVW Meeting

The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst will host its next meeting Feb. 25.

Elmhurst, IL - In honor of the approaching Women’s History month, join the League of Women Voters of Elmhurst on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 pm at the Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave., Elmhurst, as they hear from women police officers and women who have previously been in military service.

Joan Velez, Elmhurst police officer and others that have been invited will discuss their hiring, education, training and advancement possibilities in a traditional male career.
