Work Planned For 2 Elmhurst Streets
The low bid is from a company that has received satisfactory reviews from other towns, the city said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst is poised to do work on two streets later this year in a residential neighborhood.
The work will be on the entire length of Alma Street, from Elm Park to Berkley avenues, and seven blocks of Elm Park Avenue, from West to Grace avenues, according to a city memo.
Elm Park runs north of York High School.

For Alma, the city plans to rebuild the street, install new curbs, replace deteriorated sections of sidewalks, and update streetlight systems.

The city received three bids ranging from $1,181,740 to $1,291,808.
The low bidder was Westmont's K-Five Construction Corp., which has received satisfactory reviews for work in other towns, the memo said.
K-Five is also the general contractor for Elmhurst's contract paving program this year.
A city committee is set to review the bids Monday.
