ELMHURST, IL – York High School has named a new boys tennis coach, Brad Sullivan, who has been involved in tennis locally for a quarter century, the school announced Monday. He is replacing Karen Avery.
In the 1980s, Sullivan's tennis journey started at the Aurora Tennis Club, where he trained under U.S. Tennis Association Hall of Fame coach Jack Sharpe, according to a York news release. Sullivan excelled in local, Midwest and national tournaments.
"Brad’s rich competitive background and commitment to developing young athletes will undoubtedly elevate our boys' tennis program," York's assistant principal for athletics, Rob Wagner, said in a news release.
