York HS Officials Promise No Danger Following Perceived Social Media Gun Threat
The incident follows another this week in which a student allegedly fired a gun at a car.
Just days after a York High School student allegedly fired a shot through a car window after an argument with his friend, some parents kept their kids home from school after another perceived threat went live on social media.
A student reportedly posted a photo of a gun and the phrase "we bout to come back harder" on social media early this week, ABC 7 reported.
School officials told ABC that they were trying to keep things normal at school Wednesday, though police presence in the area has been heavier than normal.

The York student involved in the fight earlier this week was arrested and the gun used in his attack found.
"At no time yesterday or today was our students' safety compromised at school," school officials said in a statement Wednesday. "Furthermore, the claims of a threat being made that would place our students and staff in harm's way were likewise thoroughly investigated and found to be false."
