Evergreen Park Resident Receives Loyola's Presidential Scholarship

Tadhg Scanlon, EP Resident and St. Rita Senior, to Attend Loyola

Tadhg Scanlon, EP District 124 graduate and Senior at St. Rita High School was awarded the Loyola University Presidential Scholarship. Scanlon will attend Loyola in the fall and receives $100,000 over the next four years from Loyola in recognition of his academic and extracurricular accomplishments. "Loyola feels like home already. It's a place a student can reach his potential, " replied Tadhg when asked to comment on his acceptance and award.

Earlier in the school year, Scanlon was also named a Scholar Athlete at a ceremony before a varsity football at St. Rita. Scanlon, a starter on the team's defense, received the award and minor scholarship from the Great American Rivalry Series in partnership with the United States Marine Corps. Tadhg who is also the Student Council President at St. Rita, said he was proud to represent his team and school.
