EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Most Holy Redeemer Parish, 9525 S. Lawndale Ave., Evergreen Park, will host a drive-thru “Harvest Food Drive” prior to Thanksgiving this Sunday, Nov. 23, to help replenish the shelves at the Village Pantry. Non-perishable food items and monetary donations can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to noon at the church, where family volunteers will come to your vehicle and unload your donations.

Food banks and pantries across the Chicago region have reported a surge in service requests, including Evergreen Park.

“Many people depend on the Evergreen pantry for their weekly groceries, said Deacon Mark Phelan, who is also a village trustee. “We have a chance to give back and help fill the shelves with our donations.”
