2 Charged In 2023 Downtown Frankfort Robbery
Both are charged with one count of robbery and one count of aggravated robbery.
FRANKFORT, IL - Two men have been charged due in connection with a 2023 robbery in downtown Frankfort, according to a news release from Frankfort Police Department.
Kevin Muahmmad, 26, and Marcus Jackson, 27, both of Country Club Hills, were taken into custody this month, police said.
On Sept. 29, 2023, officers were called to a robbery on Nebraska Street after the victim was robbed by a person who forcibly demanded their purse and phone, police said. At the time, police said a woman was robbed at gunpoint in the incident.

The suspect then fled in a dark-colored sedan.
Responding officers and detectives secured the scene, and collected evidence and statements. On Dec. 20, 2024, arrest warrants were obtained for Muhammad and Jackson, police said.

Both are charged with one count of robbery and one count of aggravated robbery.
The Will County Fugitive Warrants Unit and the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force took Jackson into custody in Chicago on Jan. 2. Muhammad was taken into custody in Chicago on Jan. 8, police said.
Both were taken to Cook County Jail and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility, pending their next court appearance, according to police.
