24th Annual Short Run On A Long Day Planned In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — The 24th annual Short Run on A Long Day 5k run/walk is planned for June 19 in Frankfort.

The annual race, hosted by the park district, is still accepting registrations. It is $25 to register before June 10, and $35 after June 10, according to the park district website.

The race begins at 7 p.m. on June 19 at Main Park in Frankfort.

The park district said it is also in need of volunteers for this year's event.

The race coincides on or near the longest day of the year. After the race is done, there will be an awards presentation and DJ. Healthy refreshments will be offered for the runners/walkers.
