Annual Kids Fishing Derby Set For June 22 In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — The annual kids fishing derby will be held in Frankfort on June 22 at Prairie Park, giving kids ages 3 to 12 the chance to reel in the biggest catch of the day.

Get Hooked On Frankfort will offer two age brackets; one for ages 3 to 7 and one for ages 8 to 12. Registration is required for the event, and it is $10 per resident.

Prizes will be awarded for the most fish caught, and the biggest fish caught in each age group, according to the Village.

The registration fee for the catch-and-release derby includes a shirt, drink and snack, and fishing hook and bait.
