Cedarhurst Of Frankfort Looks To Add Independent Living Cottages
16 independent living cottages are proposed to be built on the property of the existing facility.
FRANKFORT, IL — Cedarhurst of Frankfort will soon add independent living cottages after the Frankfort Village Board approved a major change to the planned unit development and a final plat of subdivision at its Monday meeting.
Trustee Maura Rigoni said that Cedarhurst of Frankfort is proposing 16 independent living cottages on the property of the existing facility.
"Each cottage will consist of two units, with each unit featuring two bedrooms and a one-car garage," Rigoni said.

The cottages are for those 55 and older, "who maintain high mobility," Board documents state.
Cedarhurst of Frankfort has an existing building that provides assisted living and memory care.

"The development will also be served by a new clubhouse, outdoor putting green and a pickleball court," Rigoni said.
Cedarhurst of Frankfort is located in the Prairie Crossing subdivision off of Wolf Road, between the Old Plank Road Trail and Kohl's.
