Easter 2022: What's Hop-ening In Frankfort?
Easter is April 17, but that's not stopping some Frankfort organizations from hosting Easter-themed events earlier than that.
FRANKFORT, IL — Spring has sprung in Frankfort, and Easter is right around the corner. That means it's time for egg decorating, egg hunts, visits from the Eater bunny and more in Frankfort. While Easter isn't until April 17, there are plenty of Easter-themed events happening in Frankfort before then. Patch is keeping a list of where to find kid and family-friendly events in town. Check out some of the events in the list below.
- Frankfort Children's Museum Easter Egg Hunt, 11 S. White St. - April 3 and April 10 starting at 9:30 a.m. For children ages 1-6. Preregistration is required. Cost is $12 for members, $15 for non members. Call (815) 469-1199 to register.
- Amazing Love Church Easter Egg-stravaganza, 21301 S. Pfeiffer Road - April 9 from noon to 3 p.m. Featuring a 10,000 eggs dropped from a helicopter, plus a bounce house, games, face painting and food from Joey's Red Hots. The "Stuffed with Love" Easter Bunny will be there for family photos from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. There is no cost for the event, but preregistration is required. Follow this link to register.
- Frankfort Park District Super Dog Egg Hunt, Bark Park at Commissioners Park, 22108 S. 80th Ave. - April 9 starting at approximately 2:30 p.m. Why should humans get to have all the fun on Easter? Bring your favorite pooch out to hunt for some dog treat-filled eggs, and get photos with Peter Cottontail after the hunt. This is a free, on-leash event.
