Frankfort Bluegrass Festival Fundraiser Set For May 9

FRANKFORT, IL — In preparation for the 15th annual Frankfort Bluegrass Festival in July, organizers will hold a festival fundraiser at CD&ME on May 9.

The Frankfort Bluegrass Festival is a free event that is put on by volunteers thanks to generous donations and sponsorships, event organizers said.

This year's fundraiser will be held May 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. at CD&ME, 23430 S. La Grange Road, in Frankfort. Advance discount tickets for the fundraiser are $45 and entry is $55 at the door.

The fundraiser will include live music from The Grateful String Band, Wheels North and Anderlik, Otto & Church, according to event organizers. There will also be appetizers from the Frankfort Restaurant Association, beer tasting from Trails Edge Brewery and Blue Island Brewery, as well as raffles, silent auction and more.

The annual Frankfort Bluegrass Festival is planned for July 12 and July 13 in downtown Frankfort.
