Frankfort Board Approves Special Use For Yoga Studio

FRANKFORT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved a special use permit for a yoga studio within the Trolley Barn in downtown Frankfort.

The Well Yoga Studio will operate at 11 S. White St., Unit 201.

"The applicant is requesting the granting of a special use permit for indoor recreation to accommodate the operation of the yoga studio in the H-1 Historic District," Trustee Maura Rigoni said.

The plan commission held a public hearing on the project on Nov. 14 and forwarded a unanimous recommendation to the Board to grant the request.

The special use permit also calls for a minimum 15-minute break in between classes to accommodate parking space turnover, according to Board documents.
