Frankfort Chop House Special Use Permit Approved By Board

The Frankfort Chop House will be a "full-service upscale restaurant" at the Homestead Center, 11235 W. Laraway Road.

FRANKFORT, IL — A new restaurant is coming to Frankfort after the Village Board approved a special use permit for the Frankfort Chop House at its Monday meeting.

Trustee Gene Savaria said the Frankfort Chop House will be a "full-service upscale restaurant" at the Homestead Center, 11235 W. Laraway Road.

The special use permit is to allow for the operation of a full-service restaurant with liquor sales, according to Board documents.

To accommodate the new business, the Board also approved a major change to the Homestead Center planned unit development to allow a proposed 25-space parking lot expansion at the property.

Board documents state the restaurant will serve a variety of appetizers, steaks, seafood, chicken dishes and pasta. Proposed business hours are 4 to 11 p.m.
