Frankfort Holds Annual Earth Day Community Clean-Up

The event helps beautify the Village's neighborhoods, parks, roads and the Old Plank Road Trail.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Village of Frankfort will hold its annual Earth Day community-wide clean-up on April 26. The event helps beautify the Village's neighborhoods, parks, roads and the Old Plank Road Trail.

Volunteers can come for an hour or help the whole day, according to the Village. Garbage bags, gloves and a free T-shirt will be provided.

Supplies can be picked up at Village Hall between April 21-25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you can sign up for a clean-up location.

Prizes will be awarded for the largest item, strangest item and most trash collected, the Village said.
