Frankfort Ice Cream Social Planned For Aug. 18

The social includes free ice cream, kids games and a pie-eating competition.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Area Historical Society and the Frankfort Preservation Foundation will hold its annual ice cream social on Aug. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St.

The free event includes a free ice cream sundae, with ice cream scoopers from the Frankfort Fire and Police departments, according to event organizers.

There will also be kids games and live music from the Frankfort Brass Band.

Guests can also compete in the pie-eating competition, which will have three age divisions. There is no entry free, and prizes will be awarded. You can register the day of the event or online.
