Frankfort Park District Masking Guidelines: Update

Frankfort Park district updates mask guidelines for second time in week.

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort Park District has updated its mask policy, the second time in the past week, as the highly-contagious delta variant of the corona virus spreads through Will County.

Effective Monday, consistent with Illinois Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, the Frankfort Park District will require all employees and those visiting its facilities to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.

Previously, masks were encouraged indoors, for all but it was only a recommendation.

The move to an all-mask policy was anticipated, as Park director Gina Hassett said Aug. 3 that staff and contracting services employees who work with children ages 12 and under were already required to wear masks.
