Frankfort Park District Updates Masking Guidelines
Masks are now encouraged but not required.
FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Park District has updated its mask guidance policy to "encourage masks indoors for all but it is only a recommendation," according to a news release from the District.
Staff and contracting services employees who work with children ages 12 and under are required to wear masks, according to Frankfort Park District Executive Director Gina Hassett. She added that the District is monitoring data and will make updated guidance policies as needed.
The update comes as Will County has seen an uptick in cases involving the delta variant of the coronavirus, placing the county in the "substantial risk" category, as determined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
