Frankfort Police Welcome Two Newest Members

The officers were sworn in Tuesday during the Village of Frankfort Board of Trustees meeting.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Village of Frankfort added two police officers to its Police Department Tuesday. Officers Giovanni Conte and Rafal Krupa were sworn in by Frankfort Mayor Keith Ogle.

Conte is originally from Joliet, while Krupa was born in Poland and grew up in Streamwood. Both hold bachelor's degrees in criminal justice.

Conte's wife, Isabella, pinned him with his badge after Ogle swore him in; Krupa's wife, Corrie, did the for him.

"They are both outstanding young men who have just fit so well into our agency, and their hard work and dedication already is amazing," said Frankfort Police Department Chief Leanne Chelepis. "We welcome them. They do their job with a lot of professionalism. We've received many compliments on how they engage with residents and community members already, so we're very proud of them. Tonight was a proud night for the Frankfort Police Department."

  • Approval for upgrades by Verizon to two cellular tower sites — 21814 S. Elsner Road and 1015 Lambrecht Road — that it leases from the Village.
  • Approval of a special use permit for Cheer City, a cheerleading training facility, to occupy the space at 10315 Vans Drive.
  • Approval of a special use permit for Balanced Body Veterinarian Animal Clinic at 20815 S. LaGrange Road.
  • Proclaimed Rail Safety Week for Sept. 20-26.
  • Country Market with a Cop will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. Sept. 26 in downtown Frankfort.
