'Get Hooked On Frankfort' Set For May 17

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort fishing derby, "Get Hooked on Frankfort," will be held a month earlier than usual, and is set for May 17 at Prairie Park.

According to the Village, the catch-and-release derby is for kids ages 3-12. Spots are limited, and you must register with the Village by May 15.

Registration includes a T-shirt, snack, drink, bait and hook; bring your own pole for the event.

It is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents. Ages 3-7 will fish from 8 to 8:45 a.m.; and ages 8-12 will fish from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. The event will be rain or shine.
