Man, 18, Dies When Car Hits Utility Pole: Coroner

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL — An 18-year-old Park Forest man died Tuesday, after the car he was driving crashed into a utility pole.

Ethan K. McCall was the sole occupant of the car when it left the road northbound at University Parkway and Pine Trace Court in University Park, according to the Will County Coroner's Office. The car hit a utility pole, the coroner's office said. McCall was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

University Park police are investigating. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21. The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date pending police, autopsy and toxicology reports
