Migrant Crisis: Frankfort 'Prepared' After Buses Arrive In Nearby Towns
"We have no information that indicates this will occur in Frankfort, but we are prepared," police said.
FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Police Department is advising residents to contact police if they see a coach bus unloading passengers, after several reports of busloads of migrants from Texas attempting drop-offs in nearby towns.
Police said this has not happened in Frankfort, but other municipalities have experienced buses in their towns, attempting drop-offs at local train stations.
The mayors of New Lenox, Frankfort and Lockport all signed executive orders restricting drop-offs from unscheduled intercity buses.

"We are asking for the community's assistance in notifying us should they see this occurring in Frankfort," the police department said on its Facebook. Residents should call the non-emergency number at 815-485-2500.
The police department said it is working with state, county and regional offices to address concerns and provide resources.
