More Unlocked Car Break-Ins, Thefts In Frankfort, South Suburbs
Police continue to investigate more incidents in the past few weeks around the area.

FRANKFORT, IL — Police continue to investigate car burglaries and thefts in Frankfort and throughout the south suburbs, according to authorities. Last week, several break-ins were reported, and the vehicles had been unlocked at the time, Frankfort police said.
On Wednesday, April 4, officers spotted a suspicious black Audi in the Charrington subdivision, police said. The Audi's driver sped off when police were seen, and a follow-up investigation revealed that the car had been stolen earlier that night in Evanston.
Four vehicle break-ins also were reported between 3 and 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 3. The incidents happened in 21300 block of Brittany Drive, the 22900 block of Anna Lane, the 22400 block of Hughes Street and the 200 block of North Maple Street, police said. These reports came on the heels of a stolen car taken from a residential drive March 28 in the 500 block of Lincoln Lane.
