Portion Of Old Plank Road Trail Still Remains Closed For Clean-Up

FRANKFORT, IL — Part of the Old Plank Road Trail remains closed, after severe storms and a confirmed tornado more than two weeks ago, according to the Forest Preserve District of Will County.

The trail is closed from Pfeiffer Road to Harlem Avenue as tree work continues after the storm.

Due to the number of downed trees and cracked overhead branches and the rainy weather predicted for this week, cleanup work may continue through Friday.

Members of the public should not use this portion of the trail while it is closed, the preserve said.
