Officials remind residents that the village's parking ban remains in effect through Saturday afternoon.

FRANKFORT, IL — With as much as eight inches of snow in the overnight forecast, village officials are reminding residents that a parking ban is in effect.

Residents must remove every vehicle from Frankfort's streets when snowfall reaches two inches or more. Those who do not will be ticketed or towed, a village spokeswoman said.

The village hall is a warming center Monday through Friday during business hours. It will not be open for residents seeking shelter Saturday. A list of shelters can be found on the Will Countywebsite.
