Splash Pad To Get Renovations, Upgrades For 2022 Season
The splash pad at Commissioner Park will get a new water treatment system, new surface area and the replacement of existing features.

FRANKFORT, IL — Renovations and upgrades are scheduled to be completed by the 2022 season for the splash pad at Commissioners Park, 22108 S. 80th Ave. in Frankfort, according to a news release from Frankfort Park District.
Planned upgrades include the addition of a re-circulation system for the splash pad's water, which comes from a well that is high in iron and has left the splash pad with a reddish tint over the years. The re-circulation system will also improve the temperature of the water, which the park district described as "cold."
The splash pad is also slated to get replacements of the existing features and a new surface, according to the release.
